We welcome you to attend the Annual Scientific Meeting of the International Airline Medical Association (IAMA).

The meeting is held on the Saturday preceding the Aerospace Medical Association (AsMA) Scientific Conference annually.

The IAMA meeting will include the social and networking opportunities at the gala dinner after the scientific meeting.  Guests are very much welcome.

For the main scientific conferences, AsMA has arranged a discounted room rate with the event hotel, which is also offered to all IAMA participants.

For reservations, please contact the conference hotel and mention the Aerospace Medical Association to receive the conference rate. Please visit if you need additional information on hotels and/or reservations.

Please note that AsMA hotel registration will normally close in early April and typically fills up early.

This is held following the end of the Scientific Meeting and provides a forum for members to consider such matters as the Association’s Bylaws, membership, finances, awards and gives members the opportunity to raise any concerns or suggestions about the organization.

This is an annual  award first presented in 2019, which was set up in memory of Ralph Fennell who was a long standing member of AMDA, as it was known at that time, and who was for many years its Honorary Secretary. In the past 20 years he was the major driving force behind the organization and worked tirelessly to ensure the development and smooth running of the Association.

The award is open to young aspiring scientists who are working in the field of Aviation Medicine research. The successful applicant is invited to present a paper at the Association’s Annual Scientific Meeting.

International travel expenses are paid and hotel accommodation is provided for two days. As well the successful candidate receives a free ticket for the Annual Dinner where they will be presented with a memorial certificate.
