INTERNATIONAL AIRLINE MEDICAL ASSOCIATION

NEWS / ANNOUNCEMENTS / PRESS RELEASES

Colleagues and friends across the global aviation medicine community,

As we welcome a new year, I find myself reflecting on the extraordinary resilience, innovation, and collaboration that define our field.

Aviation medicine has always demanded precision, adaptability, and a deep commitment to safety, but the past year has shown—once again—that our community rises to every challenge with professionalism and purpose especially during these geopolitically uncertain times.

Strengthening the health of aviation worldwide

Our work touches every corner of the aviation ecosystem: flight crews, ground teams, passengers, regulators, and the broader public who rely on safe and efficient air travel. This year, we advanced research, refined medical standards, and strengthened partnerships that ensure aviation remains one of the safest modes of transportation on Earth. These achievements belong to all of you.

A global network with a shared mission

What makes our association unique is the diversity of expertise and geography represented in our membership. We are physicians, allied health professionals, researchers and regulators from every region of the world. Despite differences in culture, climate, and context, we share a common mission: to protect the health and performance of those who keep the world connected.

Looking ahead

The coming year will bring new opportunities—advances in aerospace medicine, evolving operational realities, and emerging health considerations for both crew and passengers. Our association will continue to lead with evidence-based guidance, robust dialogue, and a commitment to supporting every member in their professional journey.

My wish for the year ahead

May this new year bring you renewed energy, meaningful collaboration, and the satisfaction that comes from contributing to a safer, healthier global aviation community. Thank you for your dedication, your expertise, and your unwavering commitment to excellence.

Warmest wishes for a healthy, prosperous, and inspiring year ahead.
